Anyone who loves family history and wants to contribute their time and talent to help people from their country benefit from all that MyHeritage has to offer.

How can I join the MyHeritage Global Translator Community?

Click here  to contact us. Please provide the required details and the language you would like to translate into.

How do I get started?

Once we have received your details, we will send you your first translations project along with some translation guidelines.

What benefits do I get?

Our global community receives free upgrades and extensions of their Premium and PremiumPlus family sites, free Data Subscriptions, as well as special T-Shirts and fleece jackets, and the appreciation of other speakers of their language who can now benefit from MyHeritage.

What if I discover a bad translation?

Click here to contact us. Please specify the language and the problem and include relevant screenshots/location description.

Can I review my translations?

You will be able to review your own translations via our editing tool and correct them even after they have been distributed online. Sometimes we will send you texts for review directly.

Will anyone proofread my translations?

Yes, our top volunteer translators in your language will provide reviews for selected projects. We are also here to help you get started, answer questions and give translation advice.

What are the time frames for me to complete translations?

The amount of time for translation varies by project type and by language. As a volunteer translator you are not under any obligation. We appreciate any help you kindly provide, and any input you are able to give is welcome. We only ask that you keep us updated on your availability.
